Materials Co-Ordinator

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Materials Co-Ordinator to join our growing team based in Loughton, Essex.
The purpose of the role:
To support the operation teams in delivering a high-quality service to our customers. To provide a highly organised and efficient service of materials to the operatives, across all services. The role will involve working at the location of our materials partner and within our operational base.
Remuneration:
The salary: The ideal candidate will join us on a full-time basis in return for a salary between £25,000 -£30,000 per annum. Exact salary will reflect your experience and skill set.

Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Co-ordination of material supplies with our materials partner:
a) Liaising with the materials partner to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of materials delivered on site and to operatives.
b) Ensuring all van stock is replenished in a suitable time frame.
c) Monitoring and tracking van stock movement on a regular basis, to identify areas of maximum and minimal usage.
d) Reporting and analysing material costs and spend across all services. Identifying any discrepancies and working with materials partner to rectify.
e) Monitoring materials are allocated to correct jobs and identifying discrepancies on material codes.
2. Co-ordination with operatives and operation team:
a) Supporting operatives with using IT equipment and software for ordering materials and stock replenishment.
b) Assisting with stock takes and van audits.
c) Assisting the team with ordering and purchasing of non-standard items.
d) Working closely with Quantity Surveyor on reporting spend on materials.
e) Working with the operational teams to achieve repairs time targets and keep work in progress to a minimum.
f) Ensuring any off-site material locations are sufficiently stocked and utilised accordingly.
g) Producing reports on key performance indicators (KPIs)
h) Working with all subcontractors / new business to ensure value for money.
i) Introduce new ideas and innovative ways of working.

Required knowledge and skills:
Education
Relevant qualification or equivalent working experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in materials supply chain is desirable.
- General administration.
